I find too many people confusing art with craft. So I figured I will write a little note about it. I am not suggesting that there are actually works out there that are not art in any sense at all. I believe everything is art in some way or the other. The point I am trying to make is that what many of us often praise as being artistic is only good craftsmanship. To be art, things need meaning. The artist seeks meaning in the world around him and tries to express it with his work. She may choose to do this with a painting, or a work of fiction or a song. There is no limit on how one chooses to express themselves. What binds all these endeavour

Never thought I would be opening a DeviantArt account. I have only just started sketching and I am liking it a lot. I guess some of it shows my school-time love of geometry and imaginary worlds. These sketches are slightly photoshopped scans of my sketch-pad pages. Let's hope I keep this up. :)
